Turanj is a tourist resort connected by the promenade "Lungo mare" with the center of Sv. Filip i Jakov. Just the proximity of larger centers makes it an attractive place that is close enough and still quite far enough away from crowds and crowds. The town stretches along the 4 km long coastline, located in the Pašman Channel, surrounded by a small archipelago of 16 islands.

On its northern side is the bay of Bošana and on the south of Soline. In front of the town are the islands of Planac and Sv. Catherine (with lighthouse). The average air temperature in January is 7 ° C and in July 24.5 ° C, with an average annual windfall of 840 mm. In the bay of Soline there is a large public sandy beach surrounded by pine woods.
